Now that you know how to enter symbols in your Focus List in OmniTrader Xpress, let’s look at how to use OmniScan to import a pre-made list such as Smooth Movers or the NASDAQ 100.
Click on the Pencil icon at the top of your Focus List.
This will take you into the Focus List Editor where OmniScan is found and where we can import many different symbol lists into our Focus List. In this example we will enable the Smooth Movers list first by clicking the box. This should put a checkmark in the box.
Use the Scroll Bar on the right hand side to move down the list to the Indexes. Let’s also enable the NASDAQ 100 list by putting a check in the box to the left.
Now that we have our two OmniScan lists enabled, let’s click the Close button at the bottom right-hand side.
It takes us back to our Focus List, and you will see that our NASDAQ 100 list comes up automatically. This is because it was the last OmniScan list that we enabled.
We can then click on the NASDAQ 100 Stocks title to open up the drop-down window. Now we can select our original ‘My Symbols’ list, Smooth Movers, or NASDAQ 100.
