To get started with OmniTrader Xpress, the 1st thing you will need to do is populate a Focus List with symbols to prospect through. In this issue of The Weekly Express we will look at manually adding symbols to the list using the quick chart feature.
The Quick Chart Toolbar
Your Quick Chart toolbar will normally be located at the top of your OmniTrader program as shown here.
It is important to note that you must have My Symbols selected at the top of the Focus List. Then the Quick Chart can be used to add symbols. If anything other than My Symbols is selected, the Quick Chart will not add symbols to your Focus List.
Let’s look at an example of entering a symbol to the Focus List using the Quick Chart.
First you need to use your mouse to click in the blank space to get your cursor there.
Type in the symbol you would like to see in your Focus List.
Then just press your Enter key on your keyboard.
As you can see below it will be added to your Focus List and automatically show you the chart for that symbol.
